Objective 1 – Taking a Pride in Falkirk (Clean and Attractive)

Helping to make the town centre as clean and attractive as possible

After extensive research in 2007, the businesses in Falkirk indicated that their top priority was the objective 'Taking a Pride in Falkirk'. In response to this, the BID has delivered:
  • A major gum-busting campaign including new gum bins and removal of gum litter.
  • Gutter cleaning project.
  • Rapid removal of graffiti and fly posters and general maintenance.
  • Seasonal clean-ups involving volunteers from town centre businesses.
  • Keep Scotland Beautiful in-depth assessment to ensure Falkirk Council maintains agreed cleaning standards.
  • Additional seasonal floral enhancement.
